Mrs J. Cooper (Parish Clerk)

31           APOLOGIES

Apologies and valid reasons for absence were received from Cllr Gorwood and these were accepted.

32           DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

                There were none

33           DEFIBRILLATOR PURCHASE

After discussion and examination of various quotes it was resolved that the defibrillator and cabinet (external, heated and lit) be purchased from Safelincs Alford at a cost of £1565.99 inc VAT.  A cheque was raised for this amount and signed , to be sent to Safelincs with their Pro Forma invoice.  Cllr Lacey agreed to take delivery.  It was also agreed that once the unit had been delivered, Pheonix Electrical be contacted to undertake the installation and electricity supply, recommended that it be a permanent feed rather than a 3 pin plug.  Once installed Clerk would inform “The Circuit” and get the device registered with the emergency services.

34           QUICKLINE

Cllr Jobe updated members on a request from Quickline to install a pole adjacent to the bus shelter to help stream services to Church Lane properties.    Members queried whether the cable already running along the main road on Church Lane entrance side of the road could be extended underground to service Church Lane - Quickline engineers felt that existing ducting along Church Lane had collapsed and a pole in that location was the better and more cost effective plan.  Members then queried as to whether the cable could be taken from the back of The Hall across fields to Church Lane properties.

Cllr Jobe volunteered to liaise with Quickline engineers to put this alternative to them.  If there was a good valid reason that this could not be achieved, then the Council agreed to the siting of the pole adjacent the bus shelter.

35           ANY OTHER URGENT MATTERS

There were none.  Clerk confirmed having ordered the Christmas Tree.
