Elkington village sits astride the main road from Louth to Ludford and then to Market Rasen.  

Predominantly a rural parish, within the confines of the main village there is a shop, church and Church Institute hall.

The next ordinary Council meeting is scheudled for September.

ELKINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF VACANCY

 

A casual vacancy has occurred in the Elkington Parish Council, and the Returning Officer has given consent for the council to co-opt a new member to fill that vacancy.

If you would like to join the Parish Council and work with existing councillors in matters concerning the village please send your name, address, telephone number and details of any experience you might have as well as confirming eligibility.  This is an unpaid voluntary position.  The Council meets 4 times per year and deals with local issues, has recently had a defibrillator installed in the parish and is working towards obtaining funding for new speed reduction devices.

You must be 18 or over; live in the parish or within 3 miles (and have done so for 12 months), not be a bankrupt or have outstanding convictions.
